Domain names
A domain name is your own address online. Choose the product matching your extension, such as .fi for example.fi. Order a new registration, renew an existing domain or transfer it to us using the options available for that product.
- Own DNS: use your own name servers or another DNS provider.
- TrcNeT-DNS: add DNS hosting and DNS record management to your domain order.
- Web hosting: select an available Lite or Ultimate package alongside your domain.
How pricing works: product-list starting prices and product-option prices come from the shop database. Registration, renewal and transfer may have different prices. DNS or hosting choices change the total; check your selected package on the product page and at checkout. Compare options in the current domain price list.
Ordering, setup and renewal instructions
Buying a new domain
- Check availability using the domain search. An availability result does not reserve the domain.
- Open the correct extension's product, select New and enter the full domain without
https://or a page path. - Choose DNS or web hosting options. For your own DNS provider, enter the name servers required by the form.
- Complete the registrant and holder details carefully, review the order and accept the applicable terms at checkout. Registration starts after confirmed payment.
Registration and DNS activation may take time. A domain registration alone does not create a website: you also need hosting or another server. See the domain buying guide.
Renewal and transfer
Select Renewal to extend the registration of a domain you already own. Select Transfer to change registrar; provide the transfer details or authorisation code requested by the product. Transfer rules and effects on expiry dates vary by extension, so do not assume that a transfer automatically adds a year.
Check the registration expiry date under My Account → Purchased domains. Renewing web hosting or a separate DNS service does not itself renew the domain. Check each service's expiry date separately and read the applicable product and checkout terms before ordering.
