Your own Linux server for websites, applications and development environments. A Tracker-Networks VPS is a virtual machine where you manage the operating system and install the software you need. Choose a suitable package and a monthly or yearly service term.
A VPS is self-managed, not a ready-made web hosting account. If you want website space, email and databases with a control panel without maintaining an operating system, explore our web hosting packages.

What can you use a VPS for?
A VPS is suitable for websites, Linux applications, APIs, and development or test environments. The operating system is Debian 13 Linux. Servers run as Proxmox virtual machines on ZFS storage.
Choose resources to match your application. Software requirements, concurrent users and the amount of stored data affect the package you need. Contact us before ordering if you would like help choosing.
NAT connectivity, SSH and your applications
VPS-Small and VPS-Medium use NAT connectivity. The public IPv4 address is shared: your assigned SSH port and TCP/UDP port range route connections to your VPS. These packages do not include a dedicated public IPv4 address.
- SSH: use the server-specific hostname and external SSH port shown in VPS management. Public port 22 alone will not connect to this NAT VPS.
- Other applications: use your allocated TCP/UDP port range and configure your application and server firewall accordingly.
- Connection details: copy your server's exact hostname and ports from My Account → VPS management. Another server's identifiers will not connect to yours.
If other VPS packages are available, their networking mode is explained on their product pages. The automatic HTTPS service described below applies to the VPS-Small and VPS-Medium NAT packages.
Your web address and a managed HTTPS certificate
A NAT VPS automatically receives its own tn-vps-…tracker-networks.org address. Its identifier matches the server name shown in the shop's VPS management. You do not need a separate domain name to use this address.
- Install a web server or application on the VPS. It must listen on HTTP port 80 on the server's network interface, not only on localhost.
- Allow connections from the gateway to port 80 and configure the application to accept your VPS hostname. Detailed installation instructions are available behind the help button in VPS management.
- Open the HTTPS address shown in management. Plain HTTP redirects to HTTPS, and the gateway forwards website requests to port 80 on your VPS.
We obtain and renew the Let's Encrypt certificate for this address. DNS and the first certificate may take a few minutes to become ready. Your website also requires a correctly installed and configured web server.
Where encryption ends: HTTPS terminates at the gateway. The connection between the gateway and VPS uses HTTP on the isolated internal network. Follow the guide for reverse-proxy settings and trust forwarded information only from the gateway. The automatic certificate and forwarding do not cover your own domain names or every other application port.
Ordering and managing your server
- Sign in to the shop, select a VPS package, choose New and select your service term.
- Review the order and service-specific terms at checkout. Server creation starts after payment is confirmed.
- Open My Account → VPS management to see the server status, resources, connection details and service expiry.
- Manage the operating system over SSH. My Account provides start, stop and restart controls and management of SSH keys added to the server.
Renewing an existing VPS
On the same package's product page, choose Renewal, select your existing server and choose a monthly or yearly term. The price is the current price of the equivalent new service. Renewal extends the existing server: it does not create a new virtual machine or replace its contents or connection details.
The new term is added to the remaining validity period. If the term has expired but the server still exists and is eligible for renewal, the new term starts when payment is processed. There is no automatic renewal or automatic charge. If your server is missing from the selector, contact support before ordering a new one.
Your responsibilities and support
You are responsible for operating system and software updates, the firewall, users, credentials, content and application security. Arrange the backups you need and check that they can be restored. Use the server in accordance with applicable law and the terms accepted with your order.
Do not keep your only copy of important data on the VPS. Deleting the service also deletes its contents and the automatic web address and forwarding associated with it. Refunds and withdrawal are governed by the service-specific terms; simply stopping the server is not a withdrawal request.
